Places to visit in the old city of Arles photos and guideArles is a town in the south of France, in the former Provence region. It is the perfect place to wander around with its narrow streets. We came down in the car but if you want to fly you can find some good deals on flights here One of the advantages of having a car is you can visit the nearby Camargue. Just up the river from Arles the Rhône river splits into two forming the Camargue delta. Langlois Bridge Arles
The bridge in the photo is the Langlois Bridge that featured in a painting by Van Gogh. The painter stayed in the town in 1888 and produce a large number of paintings. There is a marked walk taking you around all the places Van Gogh visited. There are two more marked walks one takes you to the Roman locations,
and the other is to the medieval parts of town.

You can buy a ticket for 13.50 euros to visit the ticket including all
the monuments and Museums in the city (Roman Amphitheatre, Theatre, Baths
of Constantine, Forum Cryptoportico - temporarily closed for renovation work, St. Trophimes cloister,
the Alyscamps cemetery, the Arles Archaeological Museum, the Reattu Museum et the Arlaten Museum).
There is a good market on Wed and Saturday at Bvd des Lices.
