St Omer is ideal for a short break there is so much to see in the area around the town.There are several WWll sites within easy driving distance the Battery Todt on the coast is very good. Also the rocket base at La coupole and the Blockhouse at Eperlecques worth a visit.

You can also visit the towns and villages of the Hem Valley start at the market town of Ardres. Or head to the coast and see the seaside villages of Wissant and Ambletuese

Saint Omer has plenty of attraction there are good shops and cafes and a large park and gardens near the old ramparts.The wetland area is very good we took the boat trip but you can walk round if you like.
