For the best views of the town take a walk up to Colline Le Chateau a picturesque ruin. With viewing platforms to see the town and beaches see the Cascades waterfall .The best way to get to Castle hill is through the old town passed the old cemetery.There is a lift if the walk is to much for you by the Hotel Suisse.
The Promenade des Anglais is a pleasant place to walk and be seen. Its has some very elegant hotels along the Promenade with great view of the sea.

The old town of Vieux Nice, with its flagstone narrow streets and the harbour are separated from the new part by the Paillon River.
At the Place Garibaldi you can walk around the fountain and visit one of the many cafés in the area.

There are lots of things happening during the summer
A Jazz festival draws international performers.
Then the film festival at Cannes and the Carnival of Nice, their main celebration.
You can go by helicopter to nearby Monaco.

The French impressionists Matisse and Chagall lived here for some time.

The Beach at Nice
Nice has a large international airport which serves
the whole of the Cote d Azur. If you are flying to France
find the best deals on flights.We drove down to Nice via Calais it is a long drive about 750 miles.You can take the expensive toll roads
straight to the sea front.Or like we did use the A roads and stay two nights B&B you see a lot more the cost is about the same.It all depends of how much time you have.

On the seafront, nestled in the gardens of The Chateau castle, next to the old town with its famous flower and antique markets. 2 km from railway station and Acropolis fair grounds, 7 km from Nice Cte d'Azur airport. Limousine service on request.
Nice is mainly a resort town but you will find a large variety of luxury goods there is a fresh flower market and lots of antiques .
French perfumes are manufactured here and in the small town of
Grasse
just in the hills behind Nice. You can see the perfume being made
and it is a good day out.You should also visit the Hill village of Eze

Visiting Nice is a great way to experience all the beauty of the French Riviera. From the stunning beaches and promenades along the coast to the quaint old town and its charming streets, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

After a day of sightseeing and exploring, head back to the city for a night of music and entertainment. Enjoy a night out at one of the many bars and clubs. Or take in a show at the Opera de Nice.
