Wamin a village in Northern France
We found a very nice house to stay at in the village of Wamin.The village has no shops but a 10 minute drive on the D928 to Hesdin you will find everything you need.There are several supermarkets plus petrol and diesel at reasonable prices.
There were 7 adults and 2 children in our party plus 3 cars the gite had plenty of room both inside and out.It was well equipped with everything you needed.The gite had a large garden mainly grass plus a hard standing for the cars. With a secure gate which made it safe for the grandchildren to play.The owner lived about a mile away she met us with the keys and collected them when we left.You can see from the photos the house was very clean we would stay there again.Next time we are in the area. There was plenty of room you could sleep up to 11 people.
The main road through the village
After dinner every night we had a walk round the village it took about 20 mins.I do'nt think we saw more than one person on our walks all week. The village has several large expensive looking houses you could see cars in their drives so people live here full time.Even thought you hardy ever see anybody out and about.

You can see the old Wattle and daub which was used to build walls.This would make a great project for someone
There are lots of places to visit in the 5 to 30 mile range to keep you busy all week.Plus Hesdin market on Thursday morning as good as on our last visit.We like the nearby village of Azincourt. It is a nice place to walk round even if you are not interested in its history.The coast is about 30 miles away you can visit Le Touquet,Stella Plage and the Port of Saint Valery sur Somme.
